FIVE KEY PROGRAMS

The Emerging Leaders: Program Philosophy

Before leaders can change their communities, run organizations, or build ventures, they must understand the engine that drives the American economy.

Year 1 of the American Leadership Academy is entirely devoted to building that foundation — giving every Scholar and Fellow an honest, immersive, real-world understanding of how business works, how money moves, and how entrepreneurship creates opportunity.

This curriculum is not a business class. It is a leadership development program using the private sector as the classroom. Every session connects business principles to leadership identity, character, and civic responsibility.

A 2 Year Program for 15-18 year olds that provides young people with the tools to become exceptional leaders so that they can get ahead of the curve and make a meaningful impact in their education and career pathways

YR1 - The Private Sector

YR 2 - The Public Sector

Year 2 turns the lens to the other half of the equation: the public sector. Government, civic institutions, public policy, and elected leadership shape the environment in which every business, community, and individual operates. Leaders who only understand the private sector have half a map.

Year 2 is also where Year 1 comes alive. The Political, Legal, and Social factors that participants studied abstractly now become concrete -- because they will meet the people who make those decisions, walk the buildings where those decisions are made, and understand the systems that determine how power flows in a democracy.

The Young Professionals: Program Philosophy

Year One explores the principles that drive successful organizations and effective leadership within the private sector. Participants develop the habits, knowledge, and professional skills required to lead with integrity while gaining a practical understanding of business, entrepreneurship, innovation, financial stewardship, and organizational leadership.

The emphasis is not simply on building successful careers, but on becoming the kind of leader who creates opportunity, inspires others, and contributes to thriving communities.

The Young Professionals program is the American Leadership Institute's Leadership in Practice experience, designed for individuals ages 19–25 who are entering adulthood and assuming increasing responsibility in their careers, businesses, families, and communities.

YR1 - Enterprise & Leadership

YR 2 - Public Leadership & Civic Responsibility

Year Two examines leadership within government, nonprofit organizations, and civic institutions. Participants gain a practical understanding of constitutional principles, public policy, community leadership, public administration, and civic engagement while learning how principled leadership strengthens a free society.

The curriculum challenges participants to think beyond individual achievement and consider how their leadership can improve communities, strengthen institutions, and preserve liberty for future generations.

The Founders Council: Program Philosophy

This is not a peer-led mastermind, the foundation of this program is expert guidance from accomplished entrepreneurs who has built businesses, navigated setbacks, led teams, made difficult decisions, and understands firsthand what it takes to grow an organization.

Every framework, tool, diagnostic, and strategy taught throughout this program has been tested in the real world—not simply studied in a classroom.

Participants benefit from practical experience, proven business systems, and honest conversations about the realities of entrepreneurship, including the challenges that are rarely discussed publicly.

The Program

Founders Circle is an executive business growth program designed for founders, CEOs, and business owners who are ready to move beyond simply operating their business and begin building an organization that can scale, thrive, and endure.

Led by an accomplished entrepreneur with a proven track record of building successful businesses, the program combines practical business education, executive coaching, strategic planning, and organizational development into a structured twelve-month journey.

Unlike traditional business coaching, Founders Circle is built around implementation rather than inspiration.

To participate you need to be a CEO, Owner/Founder of a business with more than 1 employee and generating over $300,000 in annual revenue.

Our Partner - Prevail Legacy

For over 27 years the founders of Prevail Legacy have grown their own small businesses. At first, they got caught in the same trap, but with more experience they created systems that gave them their lives back and are now committed to helping founders/CEO’s do the same.

Through this program, you will gain control of your time and business instead of it controlling you. You will become energetic and excited about growing a business that doesn't consume you.

The American Leadership Institute has partnered with Prevail Legacy to support growing businesses and their leaders in ways that will help to free their minds of the day to day and

In 1727, Benjamin Franklin founded the Junto, a small society of tradesmen and aspiring thinkers who met weekly to debate questions of business, ethics, politics, and self-improvement, and to hold one another accountable for putting insight into action. It was not a social club. It was a working group of peers who trusted each other enough to be honest, and who used that trust to sharpen their judgment and advance their ventures.

The Franklin's Junto revives that model for today's senior executives. It combines the candor and intellectual rigor of Franklin's original circle with the structured, facilitated peer-advisory format popularized by groups like Vistage: a confidential, non-competing cohort of CEOs, presidents, and C-suite leaders who meet regularly under the guidance of a professional facilitator to solve real business problems, challenge each other's thinking, and grow as leaders.
